Track iron past the last tower

Satellite gateways, stored data and installs batched by lease.

Flat caliche well pads joined by lease roads, seen from high above like a circuit board, with a single pickup’s dust trail tracing one route through them.
Distance is the cost center.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration describes New Mexico as the second-largest crude oil-producing state, with 15% of U.S. crude output in 2024. Out in Lea and Eddy counties, machines sit on pads miles down caliche lease roads, often past the last cell signal.

What we do on the lease

  • Satellite gateway installs

A1S gateways on the dozers, motor graders and backhoes that build pads beyond cell coverage.

  • Trackers on light assets

B1 trackers on light towers, generators, compressors and trailers that sit on pads for months.

  • Fuel matched to machines

Fuel truck tickets on remote pads matched to each machine’s engine hours, lease by lease.

  • Overnight alert watch

The managed fleet desk watches after-hours movement on remote pads around the clock.

How we plan basin trips

  • Trips batched by area

We schedule crews by the week and group Hobbs, Carlsbad and Artesia yards into one trip.

  • Travel and trip fees

Travel is included on New Mexico installs. Midland and Odessa visits carry a flat trip fee, quoted first.

  • Satellite where signal fails

Where a pad has no signal, the A1S sends position, hours and fault codes every 15 minutes.

  • Summer heat and storms

From June to September, crews start pad installs at first light and stay off flooded lease roads.

Permian Basin questions, answered

Does equipment tracking work on Permian lease roads with no cell service?

Yes. The A1 gateway stores 30 days of readings and uploads them when it reaches signal, and the A1S adds a satellite modem that sends position, hours and active fault codes every 15 minutes with no cellular coverage at all. The A1S is bought once, and satellite data is billed per gateway per month.

Do you install equipment trackers in Midland and Odessa?

Yes. The Texas side of the basin is in our field service area. Because it sits outside New Mexico, we quote a flat trip fee before the visit, then charge the usual per-machine installation rate. Installs in Hobbs, Carlsbad, Artesia and the rest of New Mexico include travel.

Can you track light towers and generators on remote well pads?

Yes. A B1 battery tracker bolts or magnets onto a light tower, generator, compressor or trailer and reports once a day for up to five years. It is bought once and billed per asset per month, and it shows which towers have sat on a finished pad too long.

How do you handle theft risk on remote well sites?

With alerts that go to a named person, day or night. Gateways flag movement outside working hours, power cut to the gateway and a tracker removed. For nights and weekends, the managed fleet desk, a per-machine add-on, watches those alerts around the clock and follows your escalation list.
