Plan Arizona service around the heat

Tracking and heat-adjusted service plans from Phoenix to Safford.

Tall saguaros stand in a row among parked haul trucks at the edge of a mine bench, as if the cacti were part of the fleet.
Heat is the constant, so plan service around it.

Arizona heat shortens oil life, wears out batteries and turns a midday install into a hazard. Here we set service plans with heat duty factors, install at first light and route coolant and oil temperature faults to the shop as they come in.

What we do in Arizona

  • Heat duty factors

Oil, coolant and air filter intervals tightened for summer work, agreed with your shop lead.

  • First-light installs

In summer, crews fit gateways at dawn and finish before cabs and engine bays heat up.

  • Copper country contractors

Gateways and satellite units on dozers, loaders and water trucks working remote ground near Globe and Safford.

  • Rentals on big builds

Rented excavators, light towers and generators on Phoenix-area builds tracked beside owned machines.

How we plan Arizona trips

  • Flat trip fee

Arizona sits outside New Mexico, so a flat trip fee is quoted before any crew travels.

  • Installs batched by trip

We schedule crews by the week and group Phoenix, Casa Grande and Tucson yards into one trip.

  • Heat and monsoon hours

From May to September, outdoor installs run first light to late morning, and stop for dust storms.

  • Signal in copper country

Canyon roads east of Superior drop signal; the A1 stores 30 days and the A1S sends by satellite.

Arizona questions, answered

Do you install equipment trackers in Phoenix and Tucson?

Yes. Arizona is in our field service area, including the Phoenix metro, Tucson, Casa Grande, Globe and Safford. Because it sits outside New Mexico, we quote a flat trip fee before the visit, and installs are charged per machine as usual, each with a photo record and a test report.

How should heavy equipment maintenance change in Arizona heat?

Shorten the intervals that heat wears through first, after checking the manufacturer’s manual. In Gytix, your shop lead sets a duty factor that brings oil, coolant and air filter services forward on hot jobs, and coolant or oil temperature fault codes open a draft work order. A duty factor tightens a schedule; it never stretches one.

Does equipment tracking work at remote sites in copper country?

Yes. The A1 gateway stores 30 days of data where signal drops and sends it when it reconnects. For sites that need live position, the A1S sends position, hours and active fault codes by satellite every 15 minutes. The A1S is bought once, and satellite data is billed per gateway per month.

Can we buy the software only for an Arizona fleet?

Yes. Software customers can be anywhere in the United States, and machines that already report through an ISO 15143-3 manufacturer feed or a supported third-party tracker connect with no Gytix hardware. Plans are priced per connected machine per month, month to month, with unlimited users.
